Does the chin float actually work?
It's a functional foam support panel, not a design detail. It's specifically built for dogs with shorter muzzles - French Bulldogs, Pugs, Bulldogs - who naturally struggle to keep their head above the surface. Is it comfortable for longer swim sessions, or will it chafe?
The mesh belly panel is breathable and designed to prevent overheating, and the adjustable straps are built to sit snugly without digging in or restricting movement - even after an hour or more in the water.
Can I use this in the ocean, not just pools?

Does the strap actually hold if he squirms?
Yes. The dual-strap system wraps around both the chest and belly, so even if he twists or wiggles mid-swim, it stays locked in place instead of sliding loose or riding up.
Do all my dogs need the same size?
No. Sizing is based on chest measurement and weight, not breed, so even dogs of the same breed can need different sizes. Check each dog individually against the size chart before ordering.
Will the color fade in the sun?
No. The fabric is treated to resist UV fading, so repeated sunny pool days and beach trips won't wash out the color the way cheaper vests tend to fade after a season.
Can he still dive and fetch normally?
Yes. The cut is designed to allow full shoulder and front-leg extension, so diving, paddling, and retrieving motions aren't restricted the way a stiff or boxy vest would limit him.
Is the float panel safe if he chews it?
Yes. The foam inside is sealed closed-cell material inside the outer shell, so even if he nips or chews at it, it won't absorb water or break apart into pieces he could swallow.
